Brendan Walsh

Walsh Carter Insurance Services was formed in 2006 with Brendan as one of its founders. His 25 plus years of experience have focused on providing property & casualty insurance, life insurance and estate planning to his clients.

Prior to launching Walsh Carter, Brendan spent thirteen years at Northwestern Mutual where he specialized in assisting his clients with complex estate planning solutions.

Brendan has a bachelor’s degree from University of San Francisco. He is a former President of the Irish Cultural Center and sat on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Greg Yu

Greg is a founding member of the partnership that formed Walsh Carter Insurance Services in 2006. His career started at Northwestern Mutual where he became a key contributor to his team’s continual qualification to the Million Dollar Round Table and the Northwestern Forum.

With over twenty years of experience in the industry, Greg is responsible for running the finance and accounting operations at Walsh Carter.

Greg has a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico.


David Saisi, CIC

Dave joined Walsh Carter in 2009 after spending 15 years in the staffing industry. Before joining Walsh Carter, he was the Director of Finance at a national firm specializing in placing high-level accounting and finance professionals. Dave’s consults with business owners and decision makers at all levels to develop comprehensive risk management plans for their businesses. Dave is very involved in planning the strategic direction of Walsh Carter as well as the professional development of its producers.

Dave has a bachelor’s degree from Cal State University and an MBA from Golden Gate University. He currently holds a Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Emily I. Sugars

Emily comes to Walsh Carter & Associates with over a decade experience in the group benefits industry. She began her career in the employee benefits department of a Fortune 500 Company. She has since worked in the brokerage arena as an Account Manager and Account Executive, responsible for the introduction, marketing, strategic planning, sales and service of various types of group health coverage. Her extensive hands-on experience of benefit designs, market competition, and health insurance legislation enables her to leverage her knowledge and problem solving skills to develop creative and custom benefit solutions. Emily’s focus is to help employers design and implement benefits programs appropriate to their specific needs.

Emily has a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University.


Jim Riley

Jim joined Walsh Carter in 2012 after spending 23 years with the Visual Media Alliance (formerly known as the Printing Industries of Northern California). It was there he gained experience providing property & casualty and group benefits solutions to the print and creative business industry. Jim leads the Client Relationship Team and routinely leverages his longstanding carrier connections to provide outstanding value to our clients.

Jim has a bachelor’s degree from University of Southern California.

Jessica Ramirez

Jessica, a San Francisco Native, brings an extensive background in personal insurance as well as 17 years of retail banking and customer service.

She has the experience and market knowledge to place even the most difficult risks. This includes coverage in high risk fire zones, coastal risk and custom homes that require special attention to detail. Jessica’s philosophy centers around educating her clients on their coverage.

Jessica places the personal insurance for a wide array of clientele. Her portfolio includes high net worth individuals and family offices through Preferred Client programs.

Marty Shull

As the Director of Financial Services, Marty is devoted to developing and maintaining relationships with our clients, agents, investment advisors, accountants, attorneys, and all other financial professionals. Marty offers over 15 years of experience in business-to-consumer and business-to-business sales with a specific focus on corporate buy-sell review, business exit planning, valuation and strategies, as well as personal estate protection and succession planning.
